Students of Delta State polytechnic, Otefe Oghara on Monday morning staged a protest against high cost of commodities in the polytechnic community.
Some students who spoke with newsmen said Okada per drop which was #50 before is now #100 per drop and #10 sachet water otherwise known as pure water is now being sold at the rate of #20 in the polytechnic community with no solution from the school management.
Also,  the students were unhappy about  the incessant killings in the polytechnic community.  On Sunday, one person was shot dead, making seven persons to be killed within a month.
The students called for government’s intervention in the crisis happening in the polytechnic and its environs.
