We don’t know anything about Nnamdi Kanu’s extradition –Kenyan Government

The Kenyan Immigration Services has denied knowledge of the arrest and extradition of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Director-General of the agency, Alexander Muteshi, in an interview with a Kenyan newspaper on Thursday, denied reports that the IPOB leader was arrested in their country.

Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, Kingsley, had on Wednesday revealed that the IPOB leader was extradited from Kenya.

Reacting, Muteshi said he could not tell if Kanu was arrested in Kenya.

He said, “I can’t know that. I am not in the picture of his presence in the country. I am only able to tell if somebody entered the country legally.”

Kanu was arrested over the weekend and flown into Abuja on Sunday.

He was re-arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

The judge had ordered that he should be remanded in custody of the Department of State Services till July, 26, 2021.
