However, the institution’s regulations clearly stated that no compensation was given to those who break or set a record.
Also, it stated that regardless of the record broken, no euro, pound, or dollar would be received.
Despite the lack of financial gain, the recognition obtained from being listed in the Guinness Book of World Records was substantial.

“As the world’s foremost authority on world records, our role is to celebrate the best in the world, to inspire all people, to entertain, and to inform.
“For those reasons, we do not pay record breakers for their achievements or for making an official record title attempt. Nor can we cover any expenses, offer sponsorship or provide equipment for the performance of any official record attempt.

Live coverage of Hilda Baci, a young Nigerian chef from Nsit Ubium LGA in Akwa Ibom State who was attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking duration, revealed she has cooked for over 70 hours. She needed about 10 hours and 45 minutes to emerge the new Guinness World Record cook.
Baci has been cooking since Thursday, May 11 to break the record of an Indian chef Lata Tandon, who set a Guinness World Record for cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes non-stop in 2019.
