2023: Tinubu’s candidacy, new chapter for Nigeria, says APC chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and former Ambassador to Republic of Togo, Sola Iji, has urged members of the party to unite and work together to win the forthcoming presidential election in 2023.

He said there was the need for the losers of the presidential primary and other party members across the country to support the candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Iji stated this in a statement issued by his spokesman, Mr Wole Iroaye, in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Thursday.

Iji, who commended the delegates at the national convention of the party for electing Tinubu as the party’s candidate, said the APC national leader was the right man to be the next president of the country.

He said, “Tinubu’s victory signals the opening of a new and more remarkable chapter in the history of our dear nation, Nigeria.

“When one considers the enormous sacrifices that this unique builder and leader of people and economy has made to entrench the prevailing democratic dispensation and support its administration to ensure a Nigeria where all the citizens and residents, irrespective of religious and ethnic group would feel happy and secured.”
