Tobi Amusan has had many athletic abilities since she was a toddler. She earned a silver medal in the 2013 African Youth Championships in Warri. She won gold in the 100-meter race at the 2015 African Junior Athletics Championships in Addis Abeba. She also won gold in the 100-meter sprint at the 2015 All-Africa Games.

Tobi Amusan became The University of Texas at El Paso’s (UTEP) second female track athlete named C-USA Female Track Athlete of the Year since the university joined C-USA in 2016. She won gold in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints. She also took silver in the long jump at the C-USA Championships. Amusan broke the 13-second barrier in the sprints at the El Paso UTEP Invitational with 12.83 seconds. Kim Turner’s 33-year-old UTEP 100-meter hurdles record was broken.

Tobi Amusan is an Ogun State native and athlete.

Tobi made headlines a few weeks ago when she won Nigeria’s first gold medal in the World Championships in Oregon. She triumphed in the women’s 100m hurdle contest.

She is the first Nigerian artist nominated for an MTV Video Music Award in 2022, and she has accomplished a lot on the global stage in 2022.

She was named African women’s player of the year a week ago. This was her fifth time winning the prize.

Brume Ese

Ese Brume earned the silver medal in the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA, on Monday, cementing her spot on the international stage. She competed in the Long Jump and won a silver medal.

Ese Brume was born in Ughelli, Delta State, on January 20, 1996. She made her national debut in 2012, competing in the Nigerian Athletics Championships. She rose to fame after winning gold at the 18th National Sports Festival.

The next year, she set a personal best of 6.53 m (21 ft 5 in) to finish second in the country, trailing only Blessing Okagbare. She was a standout performer in the 2013 African Junior Athletics Championships, winning the long jump title, silver in the triple jump, and being a member of Nigeria’s winning 4100 meters relay team. She also finished fourth in the 100 meters individually.

All the women listed above accomplished all this in the last eight days.
