Anambra Decides 2021: Charles Soludo cast his vote

The flag-bearer of the The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Anambra 2021 election, at his polling unit in Ward 13, Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area.
As of 12:10pm, only five of the 600 registered voters had cast their votes in Ward 12, Otuocha 11, PU005, Umuleri public square, Anambra East LGA.
It was gathered that the machine was slowing down the process.
‘THE MACHINE IS FAILING’
It was discovered that : PUs 010 and 011, Ward 1, Umuru town hall, Adazi Ani village, Anaocha Local Government Area, voters are frustrated at the BVAS machine glitches. “I’m almost tired, I have been here for a long time and I have not voted” a voter narrated.
POLICE ‘OVERPOWER HOODLUMS’
At another location: PU 007, PU 008, Fegge Ward 4, Anambra East LG
A policeman said hoodlums were prevented from disrupting the exercise in the polling units. “Some boys came to disrupt the election, but we overpowered them,
“We have called for backup and we’ll ensure this election is peaceful,” the officer told newsmen.
AGAINST ALL ODDS
In the past few months, there had been doubts over the possibility of the governorship election taking place, owing to violent attacks in the state and the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Nevertheless, against all odds, the exercise is underway — amid technical hitches and late deployment of personnel and election materials.
