EdoJob beneficiaries plan free services to celebrate Obaseki’s victory

Executive Director, Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs), Mrs. Ukinebo Dare, has said that beneficiaries of the programme will offer free services to celebrate the victory of Governor Obaseki at the poll.

She said that the event was organised by the agency and the numerous beneficiaries of its interventions, noting that invitation was open to the general public to attend the event on Friday, 9th of October, 2020.

She said products and services on offer include free food, medical services, clothing for the less privileged, and many more, adding that the event will be held at the Federal Ministry of Environment, Ugbighioko, Ekehuan Road, Benin City, the state capital.

According to her, “We are going to be giving 1,000 people free food, medical services, free clothing, among others. Edojobbers all over the state are celebrating the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki and are inviting everyone to join us.”

She noted that the gesture was to showcase the different services being offered by Edojobbers and celebrate the achievements of the governor, especially in terms of capacity building, skills development and youth empowerment.

EdoJobs is a flagship of the Governor Obaseki-led administration, set up to actualise the governor’s vision of creating 200,000 jobs in his first term in office.

As at September, 2020, the agency had created not less than 170,000 jobs across different sectors of the state. A cache of beneficiaries from these schemes would be showcasing their wares and services at the charity event, which would be attended by persons and groups from across the 18 local government areas of the state.
