The Federal Polytechnic Idah has announced that applications are now open for admission into its weekend/part-time programs for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The programs offer a range of diploma and certificate courses in various fields.The Polytechnic Diploma (PD) program, which has a duration of six months, offers a Certificate in view – Polytechnic Diploma Certificate.
The Part-Time (ND) program, on the other hand, is a two-year course divided into four semesters and offers a Certificate in view – National Diploma (ND).
The Pre-HND program is a one-year course divided into two semesters and offers a Certificate in view – National Diploma.
The Part-Time (HND) program is a two-year course divided into four semesters and offers a Certificate in view – Higher National Diploma (HND).
There are also Top-up ND and Top-up HND programs, each with a duration of one academic session, offering certificates in view – ND with good classification and HND with good classification, respectively.

The school fees for these programs are stated to be moderate and affordable for applicants.
The available courses offered by the Federal Polytechnic Idah include:
•School of Business Studies: Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Office Technology and Management, and Banking and Finance (ND only).•
School of Engineering: Civil Engineering, Electrical Electronic Engineering (with options in Electronics & Telecommunications or Power & machines) for HND only, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering (ND only), and Welding & Fabrication (ND only).
•School of Environmental Studies: Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geo-informatics, Urban and Regional Planning, and Cartography (ND only).
•School of General and Administrative Studies: Public Administration, Mass Communication (ND only), Local Government Administration (ND only), and Law (Polytechnic Diploma).
•School of Technology: Computer Science, Food Science and Technology, Library and Information Science, Science Laboratory Technology, Leisure & Tourism Management, Hospitality Management & Technology, and Statistics.
