An advocacy movement for youth known as ‘Arise Youth Nigeria’ says it will be granting free legal aid to anyone harassed or prosecuted for exercising their right to freedom of expression in Nigeria, reports according to FIJ.

The announcement was made over the weekend in response to the order of Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation, for the prosecution of any Nigerian Twitter user.

With support from the Socio-Economic Rights And Accountability Project (SERAP), the movement has, however, set up hotlines for victimized people to consult in the case of such circumstances.
