The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fortified the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) mobile app for all its admission processes.

JAMB’s spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said with the app, candidates would no longer need to visit cyber cafe or Computer Based Centre (CBT) to have their admission statuses checked.
Benjamin said candidates are to login to the JAMB CAPS mobile app with the phone number used in registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

“After login, the candidate will then key in his registration number and click on enter to get started. A verification process would be carried out on the provided information and if successful, an OTP code would be sent to the provided mobile number. The candidate is to enter the code and click on verify to complete the verification exercise,” he said.

Explaining further, he said, candidates, upon the completion of verification, are subsequently taken to the requisite admission page, with information on the offer of admission; either to accept or reject the offer.

“If candidates accept their offers of admission, they are to proceed to register online for the requisite academic session in their institutions of choice,” he said.

He added that candidates will also get to view their O’level results and other bio data.

According to him, JAMB workers are working from home to ensure smooth running of all processes and to serve the public better. He therefore urged candidates to make most of this mobile app to check their admission status.
