Local Hunters in Shiroro, Niger State, have reportedly neutralized no fewer than 47 armed bandits terrorizing Shiroro communities.
According to PRNigeria, the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 1, 2022.
The Hunters, after grouping themselves stormed a riverside community in Magami, between Shiroro and Rafi Local government areas and engaged the bandits in a gun battle.
During the gun battle that ensued, a total number of 47 bandits were eliminated in the process.

Confirming the raid, a Police intelligence source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that many of the bandits were killed during the operation. He however, said that some bandits escaped with gunshot wounds.
“I can tell you for a fact that the bandits met their waterloo. At least 47 of them were eliminated by the hunters who participated in the operation, “the Police intelligence officer said.
