He is known as BABA KEKERE OF OYO KINGDOM. His photographs surfaced online after the demise of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi. The late monarch died at the age of 83 and spent 52 years on the throne.
According to online posts, Baba Kekere has served three Alaafins. His duty is to run errands for the king.

He reportedly served Oba Adeniran Adeyemi II, Lamidis’s father between 1945 & 1956, Oba Gbadegesin Ladigbolu II between 1956 & 1968, and Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, between 1970 & 2022.
