In a daring operation, troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued 13 kidnapped students in Kaduna State, dealing a significant blow to terrorist groups in the region. The rescue mission, which took place on September 12, 2024, involved a fierce gun battle with terrorists at Chigbolu village in Kachia Local Government Area.

According to a statement released by the Army on Friday, September 13, 2024, the rescued students comprise six males and seven females. The troops also eliminated some insurgents, captured others, and seized a substantial cache of arms and ammunition.

The operation, launched based on reliable intelligence, aimed to rescue abducted persons from violent extremist camps. The troops overpowered the terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandon their captives.
