Lead Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has affirmed that his client’s time in court is October 27, and not Friday as being rumoured in some quarters.
Ejiofor disclosed this in a statement made available on Thursday.
The lawyer issued the statement after visiting Nnamdi Kanu in detention at the Department of State Services.

The statement read in part, “I visited our indefatigable Client today in the Company of my Colleague Bar. Aloy Ejimakor.
“Our Client, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was extremely delighted to receive both of us, as the visit was interpreted by him as a soul-lifting one.
“He expressed his profound gratitude to his hardcore followers and millions of his supporters who have remained unshaken in their belief in him. He thanked you all for your solidarity and re-enacted his resolve never to falter in his belief.
“On our part, we are not leaving any stone unturned in our resolve to ensure he regained his freedom within the shortest possible time.
“TAKE NOTICE that tomorrow being the 17th Day of September 2021 has not been scheduled for Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s appearance in court.
“Ignore the falsehood being circulated over various social media platforms by mischief makers, including but not limited to fake news being circulated over the social media space by attention seeker- Kemi Olunloyo. Should there be any such situation, we shall not hesitate to inform you all.
“Take further Notice, that should there be any adjustment in the October 21st date already scheduled for the hearing of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case, we shall equally not hesitate to inform the general public.”
