Unknown gunmen have opened fire on Olorogun Ovoke Oshasha, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Ughelli Town, in Delta state.
Vanguard reported that the politician was reportedly driving when the attackers who drove in a Highlander SUV opened fire on him on Saturday, April 3.
A source told the publication that Oshasha sustained gunshot injuries on his chest, and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

According to The Nation, the politician who survived the attack said he was trailed by the suspected assassins while on his way to pick up invitation cards from a printing press.
He said: “I sensed danger and immediately engaged my car into reverse. The gunmen shot at me with AK-p47 rifles. I was stuck after the bullets hit my chest and the attackers, taking me for dead, took my phones, hand chain, beads and left.”
