My fellow Obidients,
As we gravitate towards a new hope and perhaps, a new Nigeria with our expected President, Peter Obi, I remind us that, we the anxious people, must be realistic with our significant expectations of the potential Obi Administration. Peter Obi cannot solve our battered nation’s problems within four years. Nigeria will not suddenly transform into a paradise of surplus within 24 hours of being sworn in as the  President. No!. It will take more than four years for any sincere and honest transparent leader such as Peter Obi to actualize his ideas and ideals and transform Nigeria into our greatest expectations- a structured and functional country. My people, our past and present leaders have exhausted our beautiful country and our people.
It’s been more than six decades since Nigeria has been continuously raped by corrupt military and political establishments and unchecked brazen entitled political institutions. But as a mixed generation rises from the ashes of a destroyed nation, we must not expect miracles within 24 hours of Peter Obi being sworn in as the President of a New Nigeria.
The election of Peter Obi is the great step we have been waiting for: a step towards a functional Nigeria, a step towards a structured system where Justice, peace, equity, health care, security, economy, and other nation-building challenges are transparently tackled, reformed and set on the path to function. Peter Obi is neither John the Baptist nor Moses.
He is not our messiah. He will be our elected leader that will proudly lay the foundation for a future functional nation-state where all things would be bright and beautiful and all creatures, great and small shall have equal opportunity to contribute to and participate in the building and development of our new  Nigeria.
It is our desired hope that when he is elected President and sworn in, Peter Obi will have the privilege to serve our people for two terms. We must be sincere to and with ourselves;  understand these, as we support and campaign for a man who has won our broken hearts. Let’s, go.
Yours Obidiently,
AzukaJebose.
