The last tweet of a 24-year-old lady, who committed suicide in Lilongwe, Malawi, has surfaced.
The deceased student and entrepreneur identified as Mary Fulu, hanged herself on November 2, 2022, after her boyfriend dumped her for another lady.
Gresham Ngwira, the Kanengo Police Station’s spokesperson, who confirmed the occurrence last week, claimed Mary developed depression as a result of her partner allegedly ending their relationship.
“The woman had been receiving therapy and counseling at Bwaila Hospital. But this morning, she committed suicide. She entered the boys’ quarter in silence and hanged herself “a section of the police report reads.
According to the report, medical professionals and police officers from the Kanengo Police Station visited the scene where the dead body was taken for an autopsy, which determined that the cause of death was strangulation.
The boyfriend, who goes by the name Neil and is from Blantyre, allegedly broke up with her after getting pregnant by another woman, according to sources close to her family.

Mary had tweeted on the day she committed suicide, “We were good for each other.”
Additionally, in the days preceding her passing, she tweeted articles about depression and suicide.
