The University of Ibadan has expressed shock over news of the sudden death of Pastor (Mrs.) Omotola Oyediran (nee Awolowo).
Mrs Oyediran was the wife of the university’s seventh Vice–Chancellor, Prof. A.B.O.O. Oyediran.
A statement signed by the university vice chancellor, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, said, “For all of us who knew her, she was a supportive wife of her husband, caring mother of her children and doting grandmother.
“As a former President of the University of Ibadan Women’s Society (UIWS), she did her best for the sustainable growth of the UIWS.
“We pray that her gentle soul rest in peace and may the good Lord comfort Prof. A.B.O. O. Oyediran and strengthen the entire family on this irreparable loss.”
