It has been reported that the actress, who is a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), during an exchange with an Instagram user claimed that her husband, Kayode, gave GRV the governorship ticket.

However, her husband was removed as the Labour Party Chairman in the state because he is not from the eastern part of Nigeria.
