The planned strike by the organised labour scheduled to start today may not hold after all.
The Federal Government representatives and labour union representatives were still meeting as at 1.44 am Monday.
However, a source close to the meeting told franktalknow.com that the strike might be called off, suggesting that both the government and the labour might have reached a workable agreement.
Although details of discussions are scanty, the source hinted that the communique was being drafted as at 1.46am.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment , Festus Keyamo, had tweeted earlier that the government was working with labour to avert the strike. Similarly, Speaker, House of Representatives, who met with labour leaders earlier in the day, had expressed optimism that the strike would be averted.
