The Enactus Team from Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, has emerged the National Champions 2020 of Enactus Nigeria’s first ever Virtual National Competition.
The virtual competition with the theme ‘We All Win’ held between 19th and 20th August 2020.
Enactus is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action. It provides platforms for teams of outstanding university students to create community development projects that put people’s own ingenuity and talents at the centre of improving their livelihoods.
Annually, over 1.3m people are said to be impacted through Enactus projects implemented by over 72,000 Enactus students spread across 1,730 tertiary institutions in 36 countries.

Although Enactus global project began in 1975, the Enactus Nigeria started in 2,000 and has an average of 1,500 students in 30 campuses spread across 25 states of the federation.
Commenting on the feat, Adeolu Adegboye, President of Enactus Covenant University said,
“We have made our choice to join the few who lead the transformation our world dearly needs, and Enactus has given us the platform!”

The programme organisers said, “We believe investing in students who take entrepreneurial action for others create a better world for us all.”
The 2020 champions in Nigeria will compete with others across the world in the Virtual World Cup 2020 where the world champion is expected to emerge.
